PF Chapter Information

Partners in Conservation: PF and Chevrolet This partnership is funded primarily by Chevrolet dealers participating in Local Marketing Groups located in the General Motors North Central Region.

This region includes all of Minnesota and Wisconsin, most of Iowa and Illinois, western halves of North and South Dakota and parts of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.

Approximately 150 Chevrolet dealers in this region have received information and are assigned to work directly with a Pheasants Forever chapter and event in their market area.

If your PF chapter does not have a Chevrolet dealer specifically assigned, locate the Chevrolet dealer nearest your chapter/event using this link to find your Local Chevrolet Dealer.

Here's more information how to make the most of this partnership at the local level:

Four Basic Steps to Promote with Your Chevrolet Dealer

  1. Connect by phone or in-person ASAP with your assigned local Chevrolet dealer contact. This can be an the Owner/General Manager, Sales Manager, Commercial Sales, Service Manager or a sales person. This person may already involved in the outdoors or even have knowledge about your local PF chapter.
  2. Discuss with your assigned Chevrolet dealer
    1. The exact time, date and location of your assigned Pheasants Forever event and any meetings to plan the event.
    2. Having a dealer representative draw the event qualifier for the truck raffle and making sure the dealership gets MC/speaker recognition.
    3. Encourage the dealer to add Chevrolet merchandise, dealer service certificates, cash or other prizes to create more excitement.
    4. Discuss dealership exposure in an event program or on event dining tables.
    5. Suggest outfitting event ticket sellers in Chevrolet or dealer logo T-shirts and hats.
    6. The possibility of providing staff, especially salespeople and new employees to sell tickets or be representatives at the event. It's a great way to raise more money and for sales people to meet prospective customers!
    7. Discuss opportunities for pre-event promotions at your dealership.
  3. Set a specific chapter goal for this program, such as total tickets sold, net dollars raised or percent of annual goal. Your mutual success helps the dealership feel good about their involvement.
  4. Remind the dealer: Pheasants Forever fundraising events are organized and run by volunteers from your local community active in the outdoors. When they meet and support them, it's a unique opportunity to get to know potential customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

My assigned Chevrolet dealer is hard to get a hold of or has expressed little interest in the program. What do I do?

There may be some rare instances where a Chevrolet dealer, for whatever reason, is hard to reach or may be uninterested. Try to make contact well before your events. Stop in personally. In some cases the owner may have delegated the program responsibility to a manager or other person at the dealership. Find out who that person is. Personnel changes occur and offer new opportunities.

A competing Chevrolet dealer and/or competing brand dealer showed up at the event?

PF events are open the public. However, only the assigned Chevrolet dealer may actively work the Chevrolet/PF truck giveaway, promote its sponsorship, or display a vehicle at their event.

I have an existing relationship with a different Chevrolet dealer or a competing brand auto dealer who has always been a big supporter of my event. What do I do?

Try to help all your supporters see the big picture. It is very important to follow the program guidelines to fulfill PF's obligations of exclusive sponsorship to Chevrolet dealers.

Can Chevrolet dealers sell event tickets?

That is up to each dealer and chapter. Dealers selling tickets assume responsibility for collecting and delivering ticket revenue to their assigned PF chapter.

Can Chevrolet dealer employees qualify for a chance to win the truck?

Yes, dealer employees are eligible to win, however employees of Chevrolet Motor Division and their agencies, Chevrolet dealer/owners and their immediate families are not eligible for the qualifying prize or grand prize.

What if my Chevrolet dealer needs more information?

Don't hesitate to share all your information or ask him to contact a nearby dealer. A neighboring dealer or chapter may have come up with ideas you both can use.

Who is in charge of this program?

This is a cooperative program. On the local level, your assigned Chevrolet dealer and your PF Chapter President are in charge.

I still have questions. What do I do?

Contact your Regional Biologist.
