Pheasants Forever Chapters throughout Colorado are currently ramping up habitat projects for the upcoming spring. Volunteers and contractors will be busy planting shrub thickets, field windbreaks, food plots and wildlife friendly grasses. Illinois is the fourth largest PF state with 43 PF chapters and 8 QF chapters accounting for over 8,000 members. Since 1985, PF chapters have spent over $7.4 million in the state on over 23,500 projects. We work with local landowners and resource agencies to establish wildlife habitat, provide equipment to establish habitat, promote conservation education and develop new habitat programs in the state.
Iowa Pheasants Forever State Site

In the past 19 years, Iowa PF chapters established 145,762 acres of winter food & cover plots; 345,603 acres of nesting cover; and 11,391 winter cover plantings (7,902,167 trees) on private lands—an investment of over $15 million. All was accomplished through the unique mechanism of concerned local people providing the incentives for neighbors to create habitat.
Minnesota Pheasants Forever State Site

Last year in MN, PF chapters created important winter cover complexes by planting 616 wildlife food plots on 2,294 acres and completing 73 winter cover plantings which included 75,909 trees and shrubs on 210 acres. They also completed 77 nesting cover restorations affecting 2,272 acres and improved existing nesting cover on 5,376 acres. Chapters also restored 185 acres of wetlands and purchased 21 tracts of land totaling 2,909 acres which will provide habitat and public hunting opportunity for future generations.

Nebraska is the third largest PF state with 59 chapters and over 15,000 members. Since 1986, PF chapters have spent over $10.7 million in the state by working with local landowners and resource agencies to establish wildlife habitat, provide equipment to establish habitat, promote conservation education and develop new habitat programs in the state.

Ohio is the sixth largest PF state with 35 chapters and over 5,500 members. Since 1989, PF chapters have spent over $3.5 million in the state on over 8,500 Projects. Pheasants Forever Canada Inc. was formed in 1992 by a small group dedicated to improving habitat for upland game birds in Western Canada. PF Canada is incorporated as a non-profit organization and is registered as a Canadian charitable organization able to issue tax receipts to donors.

National Hunting and Fishing Day
